Yellow Dot Program

Sponsored by the Niagara County Sheriff

Sheriff James R. Voutour and the New York State Sheriffs' Association are partnering to offer Yellow Dot, a free program that provides vital medical information to first responders.

In an effort to better serve and protect the citizens of Niagara County, Sheriff James R. Voutour is offering the Yellow Dot Program; a joint effort of the New York State Sheriffs' Association and over 30 county sheriffs, the program launched in 30 counties across the state.

Yellow Dot is a free program designed to help first responders provide life-saving medical attention during the first "golden hour" after a crash or other emergency.

The Yellow Dot kit contains a medical information card and a Yellow Dot decal. Participants complete the card, attach a recent photo, place it in the glove compartment of their vehicle, and place the Yellow Dot decal on the rear driver's side window.

First responders arriving at the scene of an emergency will be alerted by the Yellow Dot decal to look for the medical information card in the glove compartment.

Funded by Sheriff Voutour and the New York State Sheriffs' Association, the Yellow Dot Program is a free service available to individuals of all ages. The Niagara County Sheriff's Office will distribute Yellow Dot kits to the public or you can have a kit mailed to you by visiting www.nysheriffs.org/yellowdot.

THE YELLOW DOT KITS ARE AVAILABLE AT THE TOWN CLERK'S OFFICE, LOCATED AT 5316 ROYALTON CENTER ROAD, MIDDLEPORT, NY 14105.
