PUBLIC HEARING
TOWN OF ROYALTON 2020 BUDGET
November 18, 2019
The Town Board of the Town of Royalton held a Public Hearing on Monday, November 19, 2018, at the Royalton Town Hall, 5316 Royalton Center Road, Middleport, New York. Supervisor Daniel Bragg called the meeting to order at 7:08 PM. The Pledge to the Flag was recited at the first Public Hearing held this evening.

The purpose of this Public Hearing was to hear and consider the proposed Preliminary Budget for the year 2020. The Proof of Publication was presented at the first Public Hearing held this evening.
Supervisor Bragg read off the information for the 2020 Budget as presented in the Public Hearing notice.
Budget to budget there is a reduction of $58,054.00 from the 2019 budget to the 2020 budget. There is an increase of $83,662.00 to be levied as we are using less of our fund balance to balance this budget. In the 2019 budget we used $119,000.00 of fund balance. In the 2020 budget we are using $50,000.00 of fund balance. The percentage to be levied will be 2.6%, which is $33,230.00 under the NYS Tax Cap. The drainage tax will be reduced from $.39/$1,000 of assessed value to $.23/$1,000 of assessed value. The garbage tax will be increased by $10.00 per household.

DRAINAGE FUND $ 74,583.00

Further Notice is given that pursuant to Real Property Tax Law Section 495, the Exemption report that shows total assessed value on the final assessment roll that was used in the budgetary process that is exempt from taxation is on file with the Preliminary 2020 Budget.
There was no Public Comment regarding the information relative to this Public Hearing.
There being no further information to come before this board pertaining to this Public Hearing, a motion was made by Councilman Walker, seconded by Councilman Criswell and carried unanimously that the Public Hearing be adjourned at 7:10 PM.
