Planning Board Minutes

May 24, 2017

 

The Town of Royalton Planning Board Meeting was held on Wednesday, May 24, 2017, at the Royalton Town Hall, 5316 Royalton Center Road, Middleport, New York. The meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM by Chairman Kevin Covel.

The following were present:

 

Chairman - Kevin Covel

Absent – None

Board Members – Jesse Bieber, Carol Wittcop, Tom Arlington, Heather Lewis and Patricia Hinds

Other Officials – Jennifer Bieber, Supervisor

Other Attendees – Mike Marotta, Matt Burch

 

MOTION: A motion made by Carol Wittcop to accept the minutes from the April 26, 2017 Planning Board Meeting.

 

Motion: Tom Arlington Seconded: Heather Lewis ALL IN FAVOR

 

CORRESPONDENCE RECEIVED & DISTRIBUTED: - None

 

OPEN FOR DISCUSSION:

Site plan for Red White and Blue storage units located at 8950 Rochester Road, Gasport, NY. Applicant’s name is Mike Marotta. The proposed addition to Red White and Blue for one more storage unit building. The building will be built to the east side of the most eastern current building. The building will be identical in size and structure. He would like to add a garage/office on the south west side of the current driveway. Approximate size will be 24 by 30. There will be no new sign and the lighting will be the same as on the other buildings.

 

MOTION: To approve the concept upon receipt of the site plan for Red White and Blue Storage Units.

 

Motion: Jesse Bieber Seconded: Tom Arlington ALL IN FAVOR

 

Site plan for Chops Shop Pizzeria located at 8405 Rochester Road, Gasport, NY. Applicant’s name is Matt Burch. The proposed addition to Chops Shop Pizzeria will be the existing space next to his business. This new space can serve food and drinks and serve approximately 50 to 60 guests. This space will be called Chops Shop Bar & Grill. Town of Royalton Building Inspector has issued a Building Permit on 4/20/17. Parking is a concern of ours. There will be a sign erected on the building. No application at this time presented regarding the sign.

 

MOTION: To approve the concept at this time.

OLD BUSINESS:

 

The Escarpment District from the Town of Cambria sample was handed out to the members that were absent last month. Our members will review this over and give their comments and questions at our next meeting. Phil Gow will also be sent a copy to review.

 

NEW BUSINESS:

 

In the future we will be working on our Comprehensive Plan. The last update was 2009.
