Planning Board Minutes

 

The Town of Royalton Planning Board Meeting was held on Wednesday, August 23, 2017, at the Royalton Town Hall, 5316 Royalton Center Road, Middleport, New York. The meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM by Chairman – Kevin Covel.

 

The following were present:

Chairman - Kevin Covel

Board Members – Tom Arlington, Heather Lewis and Patricia Hinds

Absent – Jesse Bieber

Other Officials – None

Other Attendees – Stephen P. Phillips, Jane P. Phillips

 

MOTION: A motion made by Tom Arlington to accept the minutes from the July 26, 2017 Planning Board Meeting.

OPEN FOR DISCUSSION:

 

OLD BUSINESS:

We are still working on the Escarpment Overlay project. We are reviewing at Cambria – Lockport Escarpment overlay for ideas.

 

No price yet from Jennifer Bieber on the price to update the Comprehensive Plan. I will check with Jennifer Bieber to get an update.

 

Town Topics Publication – Patricia Hinds to check on where on two members publications are.

NEW BUSINESS:

Looking at Town Fee structures here at the Town of Royalton and other towns.

 

We questioned if T-Cups are now going before the Zoning Board. New T-Cups are but not renewals per the Accessor’s Office.

 

Site Plan Approval Application came back in from Stephen P. Phillips and Jane P. Phillips for a new location for an Amusement Center. The new address is SBL: 97.12-1-96 located on Rochester Road, Gasport, next to the Dollar General. Applicants are in the process of purchasing the land from Jeffrey M. Brown. They are in a contract to purchase the land. The following was discussed: Parking spots, architect plans, check with the DOT, Special Use-Public Hearing – Board of Appeals, building closing at 7:00, signs, and lighting.

A motion to approve the concept upon approval of building the Amusement Center, site plans, approval from DOT, and Zoning Board of Appeals.

Patricia Hinds going to check with Marie L. Little, Town Clerk to see when the new items will be added to the General Code for Wind and Solar.

 

GOOD TO THE ORDER:

We all wish Carol Wittcop the best on her new position with the Town of Royalton as a Board Member.

 

Our next meeting will be Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at 7:00.
