Planning Board Minutes

 

The Town of Royalton Planning Board Meeting was held on Wednesday, October 25, 2017, at the Royalton Town Hall, 5316 Royalton Center Road, Middleport, New York. The meeting was called to order at 7:10 PM by Chairman – Kevin Covel.

 

The following were present:

Chairman - Kevin Covel

Board Members – Jesse Bieber, Tom Arlington, Heather Lewis, Stacey Johnston and Patricia Hinds

Absent – None

Other Officials – Phil Gow (Zoning Board Chairman)

Other Attendees – Mike Marotta

 

A moment of silence was done in memory of Everett J. Pearson one of our past Planning Board Members that has passed away.

 

MOTION: A motion made by Jesse Bieber to accept the minutes from the September 27, 2017 Planning Board Meeting.

 

Motion: Jesse Bieber Seconded: Heather Lewis ALL IN FAVOR

 

CORRESPONDENCE RECEIVED & DISTRIBUTED: - Marie L. Little, Town Clerk sent an email to all members regarding a Fall 2017 Regional Local Government workshop, Friday, November 17, 2017 at the Quality Inn & Suites, Batavia, NY.

 

OPEN FOR DISCUSSION:

 

OLD BUSINESS:

We are still working on the Escarpment Overlay project. We are reviewing the Cambria Escarpment overlay for ideas.

 

The site plan for Red White and Blue storage units located at 8950 Rochester Road, Gasport was tabled last month. Mike Marotta was in attendance at our meeting tonight.

 

A motion to approve Red White and Blue plans to do construction of slabs and to fence in this facility.

NEW BUSINESS:

Our group went over the Cambria Escarpment Overlay-Article Vlll Escarpment District and had several discussions on how we could adopt this to fit our goal here in Royalton. We want to keep the Niagara Escarpment as natural as possible.

 

Fee schedules were discussed.

 

Patricia Hinds asked to get a final copy of the Solar Law for our Planning Board members.

 

Patricia Hinds asked to get two Comprehensive Manuals.

Our next meeting will be Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at 7:00.
