Planning Board Minutes
The Town of Royalton Planning Board Meeting was held on Wednesday, June 26, 2019, at the Royalton Town Hall, 5316 Royalton Center Road, Middleport, New York. The meeting was called to order at 7:05 PM by Chairman – Kevin Covel.
The following were present:

MOTION: A motion made by Tom Arlington to accept the minutes from the May 22, 2019 Planning Board Meeting.

OPEN FOR DISCUSSION: -
We continue to work on updating the Town of Royalton Comprehensive Plan in our future meetings.
OLD BUSINESS: -
Tom Arlington is still working on getting fee structures from other Towns for recommendations on fees.
NEW BUSINESS: -
Site Plan approval application for 7979 Rochester Road, Gasport, NY 14067. (SBL # 97.00-2-39.4) Zachariah R. Granzow is here this evening to discuss building a 120’ x 60’ pole barn for his Shop/Storage area on the land that he has mentioned above. He will not be residing at this new location. Granzow Construction is now at 4538 S. Main Street, Gasport, NY where he resides. Mr. Granzow will be putting in a new driveway and water/sewer. No signage was discussed.
MOTION: A motion to approve the Site Plan application for a 120’ by 60’ pole barn for his Shop/Storage.

Site Plan approval application for 4465 Main Street, Gasport, NY 14067. (SBL # 97.12-1-90.1) Dominick Ciliberto is here this evening to discuss building a New Construction – Multifamily Residential Apartments – 10 units with 20 parking spaces. This would be an All Steel Building.
MOTION: A motion to table this pending on the application of Multi residential site plan.

Michael Berlin/Oriden Director, Development and Seth Witmore/Director Sites & Permitting are here with us this evening to do an introduction to Oriden. Currently there are residents in our Town of
Royalton that are now talking with Oriden. Oriden is a full service renewable energy developer. Wequestioned how this will effect the soil? How many acres are needed for this type of Solar project? Are
you leasing property or buying from the property owners?
Per Chairman Kevin Covel we will table this for a month.
Discussion also ensued regarding guidelines that should be looked at before Site Plan Approvals come
before the Planning Board. It is only fair to the residents and business owners to be prepared to bring
all of information needed with them before coming in to meet with us.
