Planning Board Minutes

The Town of Royalton Planning Board Meeting was held on Wednesday, April 17, 2019, at the Royalton Town Hall, 5316 Royalton Center Road, Middleport, New York. The meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM by Chairman – Kevin Covel.

The following were present:
Chairman – Kevin Covel
Board Members – Tom Arlington, Heather Lewis, Stacey Johnston and Patricia Hinds
Absent – Jesse Bieber
Other Officials – None Other Attendees – None

MOTION: A motion made by Tom Arlington to accept the minutes from the March 27, 2019 Planning Board Meeting.

Motion: Tom Arlington Seconded: Heather Lewis ALL IN FAVOR

OPEN FOR DISCUSSION: -

We continue to work on updating the Town of Royalton Comprehensive Plan in our future meetings.

OLD BUSINESS: -

Heather Lewis went over Tom Brandt’s comments to the Town of Royalton Niagara Escarpment Overlay District. Heather Lewis will send final by email.

NEW BUSINESS: -

We were discussing is there a time limit for Site Plan approval applications to come before the Planning Board? A courtesy guide line would be to have two weeks so that we could do the proper prep work for this to come before the Planning Board.

We were also discussing again about fee structures. Currently the Town of Royalton doesn’t have any fees connected with a Site Plan Review. The last time the Town of Royalton Building Permit Fees was updated was on April 12, 2010. The Planning Board would like to make some recommendations on fee structures. We will look at other Towns to see what they have in place.
